Global Warming

Global Warming and Climate Change

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, but since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and gas), which produces heat-trapping gases. Scientists around the world have been warning for over a decade that these heat trapping gasses mainly caused by human activities are causing Global Warming in which extreme weather patterns unforeseen in the past are affecting all regions of the world. They can be in the form of extremes of heat waves, draughts, snow, rain, windstorms and warming of the oceans all of which affect people, agriculture and industries throughout the world.

Scientists and national leaders around the world under the auspices of the United Nations have been meeting to address the issues of and solutions for Global warming and Climate Change at yearly conferences the latest of which was held in Glasgow (https://unfccc.int/conference/glasgow-climate-change-conference-october-november-2021) The solutions to the Global Warming, center around reduction of in the release of CO2 and Methane are well known but hard to implement. A more detailed information about the analysis and solutions of these problems can be found via searching on Google and other literature on the subject. We believe that technology can play a key role in helping to address these challenges. Our Web Site and the Charitable Trust is therefore dedicated to identifying and sponsoring scientific research and technology projects with a focus on the problems of Global Warming.
